About JESTERIUM
When I was suddenly snatched (and arrests, as usual, happen early in the morning) from the noisy, rapid flow of colorful life and placed in a lifeless, time-frozen space, surrounded by several rows of bars with barbed wire and mountains receding beyond the horizon, when the understanding came with irreversible clarity that nothing could be changed and that I was here for a very long time, my consciousness somehow switched to another, saving, and, as it turned out, organic mode for me – a mode of long reflections on the essence of all things, and a mode of generating ideas, ideas "from myself," without reference, unprecedented ideas that change something for the better.

The formation and contemplation of ideas, as a result of abstract thinking freed from any limitations, became a truly beloved inner state, bringing real meaning to my bleak prison existence.

I loved surrendering to the flow of thought, when an idea, like a virtual constructor, was enriched with more and more new details, and how, along with that, its originality and its future relevance to society expanded.

I reflected constantly: in the breakfast line, and between sets on the horizontal bar, shaking my arms, walking around in headphones and looking at the ground, or, suddenly thinkingof something new, raising a happy gaze somewhere over the fence, at the mountains, I reflected while circling the sandy, packed path around the soccer field, with music in a rhythm with my thoughts, or in the cell, rocking back and forth, sitting on the bed, hugging my bent knees, or pacing the cell, rubbing my palms together, from the door to the bed and back, staring ahead with an unseeing gaze, I continued to think and in the evening, sitting in front of the TV, tilting my face up towards the screen, and so on.

When an idea took on a remotely finished stage, I wrote everything down in notebooks and then, while I hadn't yet learned enough English, I dictated it to another inmate in the library, so that in a day or two I would receive a printed text and begin to edit it and write new details between the lines in small handwriting. This was a useful practice for me: in addition to the fact that my English improved with each new draft, I also had to somehow explain the essence of the concept, and it also helped improve both the idea and the presentation itself, since I received direct feedback and, therefore, clarifying questions.

Discussions with friends also helped; we usually walked slowly along the same trampled red-sandy path around the soccer field and talked about a variety of topics, from politics to our prison life, and often discussed my next project, and I had to prove, "taking the stand," pausing and chopping the edge of my hand into the other palm, both the feasibility of my idea and the "absolute" necessity of such an undertaking.

Especially helpful to me in his willingness to participate in such discussions was my comrade Alexander Nosov – with questions, seriousness of attitude, advice, and generally sincere participation, he became my partner in the process.

Reading books, drawing, I subconsciously, one might say unconsciously, continued to contemplate one of my next projects, and sometimes suddenly, perhaps inspired by what I had read, or simply appearing seemingly from nowhere, a new thought would arise, bringing, sharpening the novelty of the idea, and I could laugh to myself, aloud, while happily looking around.

The impetus for the search for an idea could be anything, for example, an article read in the newspaper about some social problem, such as the growing trend of a lack of live communication among people, which was embodied in the concept of an application uniting people at tables in cafes and restaurants for discussions on pre-selected topics. An application where you can go in, choose a topic, if you are the initiator of the future discussion, choose a cafe, reserve a table and publish, inviting those who wish to join and pleasantly chat with new people over lunch or dinner. (“Symposiy”, presentation on the website).

Or, once I read that the end is coming for small businesses, the so-called "moms and pops stores," due to the dominance of various franchises and other large businesses. I pondered what I would do to solve this problem, and came up with the idea of creating an application through which small, similar-profile businesses could unite and create new, their own franchises, while adhering to the main defining factors of remaining independent enterprises – cafes, shops, laundries, etc. I assumed that the application would display developed concepts of potential franchises – the essence, design, name, etc. – and under them, small businesses could register, that is, apply to join a new franchise. The team (for example, a group of students) that proposed the concept of a potential franchise would be responsible for organizing marketing, advertising, etc. ("Iiconet", presentation on the website).
When the far-right turn in the politics of many countries began to gain strength, and there was active talk of state isolation and nationalism, in protest against this, the idea of a network of nightclubs called "Joker Republic" was born, and not so much a chain as an association of existing nightclubs from different cities and countries that would allocate two days to the work of the "Embassy" of the Joker Republic, an unofficial republic of free people, for whom neither nationality, nor religious preferences, nor belonging to any minorities, nor status, etc., matter, but rather what creative resource a person carries within themselves. And the work of the "embassy" through a show program, decorations, and everything else will carry this message. One of the interesting and important points is the tours of specially created Joker embassies from different countries to these clubs, in their folk costumes created for club culture, a unique DJ program, and these "embassies" will carry the celebration of our differences and our unity as people, people - creators. My comrade Seva Berkolaiko and I developed this idea with pleasure.

I took particular pleasure in detailing this project, being in my imagination both a designer, a show director, and a joker-orator. (“Joker Republic Embassy”, presentation on the website).
Once, in a conversation with comrades, we discussed today's youth, namely that due to the ubiquitous informative and entertaining flow on the Internet, children are losing the ability to focus on lessons and generally live on reflexes, unconsciously.

This conversation and the fact that teenagers up to a certain age do not have the ability to be motivated by distant goals, and they need more tangible incentives, was embodied in the idea of an application for students – schoolchildren and their parents, where the student and parent open one page, where there are three agreements between them, on grades (school report), general development (for example, read a chapter of a book and write an essay, etc.), and a healthy lifestyle (exercise, water instead of Pepsi, etc.), the student promises to fulfill what was promised, and the parent, in turn, pays for what the student chooses within the promised amount, at the end of the week, after checking what has been completed. ("Studentrix", presentation on the website).
When one of my comrades, after reading an article in a magazine about drug addiction among young people, about statistics growing with each new generation, shared it with us, I suggested that this might unconsciously express a kind of protest. A protest against the need to conform to the social format that is imposed from childhood, and throughout the entire process of growing up, when a young person does not know who he is and what he is intended for, and here you have to, you are forced to conform, to follow the rules of the game established in the society where the teenager happened to be born.

This discussion and the thoughts caused as a consequence, were embodied in the idea of a youth social network / game in self-discovery, where a young person, starting from middle school, from adolescence, begins to search for himself, to know himself, through special games, the code of his personality (games of different life situations), creative potential (abstract games) and profession (games of passing different professions), where he can keep a portfolio of self-search, communicate with other teenagers, share impressions ("Dreamtrix" presentation on the website).
The goal of the "game" is to give the teenager the opportunity to determine and feel his uniqueness as early as possible, the potential of a big, interesting future, which will create the prerequisite for awareness and care for oneself. To give the feeling of pleasure from doing what you love, from the process of true self-expression.

The program of collective creativity, where the author of the idea can offer his project, assemble a team, develop it further, gathering public support, and from the entire team, at a certain stage, present it to investors, or on crowdfunding, was the result of my personal experience, that discrepancy between my (pre-arrest) projects and my circumstances and opportunities. ("Creatrix", presentation on the website)
"Here you say that a person should do what he loves, but what about the need to earn a living, because what you want and what is necessary usually do not coincide, etc.," I was asked during another conversation, and the concept of rewarding creative people with a special "support" currency was born, with a program to determine weekly progress, and a special online store where products will be offered at divined price, in money and part in our currency, and for economically underdeveloped regions, some essential goods will be displayed at full price in our currency. (“UPI Crypto”, presentation on the website).
The above listed and many other ideas brought me joy, gave me a sense of personal progress, brought meaning, and not only to my prison life, but to life in general.

Often, lying on my prison bed, covering my eyes with the bend of my elbow, or throwing a towel folded in quarters, folding my arms on my chest, I dreamed of how, after my release, I would assemble teams for each project, perhaps in the premises of a nightclub, during the day, with whom it would be possible to agree, in exchange for advertising, because everything, as I imagined, would be filmed in the format of a reality show, where castings and then rehearsals of the Joker Embassy show program would take place, where I would also work with all the teams simultaneously, keeping all the details in mind, instantly switching, arguing, orating, proving something, rejoicing in the collective solutions found, I missed this so much, I terribly wanted to immerse myself in work with interesting, creatively bold people.

A creative movement, I told my comrade Alex, where we can offer our projects and support each other, become partners, only in this way I will be able to realize my projects, only in this way through collective creativity we will be able to change a lot for the better.

After my release, I got a job as a truck driver in order to not only provide for my livelihood, help my family, but also begin to implement what I had conceived. I found a company of app developers, and we created the application Symposiy.com, uniting people at tables in cafes and restaurants for discussions, and now I have to assemble a team of like-minded people and start implementing the project.
I also created three websites with other programmers and designers, as platforms for presenting ideas with the aim of uniting those who wish to join teams. One website (Scomoroh.com) is only for film and stage projects, another (Jesterium.com) is for IT projects, ideas for cafes and restaurants and other businesses, and a website (Upi-on.com) is dedicated to programs that create conditions for finding and realizing talents. What I call a creative republic.
